Beneath it allIt never goes beyond what lies in front of my eyes.

I suppose the trip to acceptance would be different; a loud and sudden drop of the other shoe. A gut-wrenching crash or the soft rapture of these shards hitting the floor...

But not this. Not some quiet sigh; anti-climatic and gone in a whisper.

Lost are my pretty words; like a shroud wrapped tight to keep out the world.
Forgotten are the times when I had such resolve; such force of will...

A picture of me and the now fiance at our first Con together... about a week or two into dating.

Still just as happily in love. And gods my hair was all kinds of in the way that day. And my face looks squished on the left side.. but I think I'm being over critical so don't mind me! x.x
